The Vauxhall Vivaro is a refrigerated van that offers a refined engine, optimal comfort and a very practical load area for your business.

2016 Vauxhall Vivaro Models

The Vauxhall Vivaro comes in two height variants, as well as in short or long wheelbase forms allowing business owners some flexibility when choosing the next van for their business.  Features that come as standard on the Vivaro models are a 6 speed manual gearbox, heated mirror doors that are electrically adjustable and sliding load space access.

Optional additions include rear parking sensors and front fog lights which should be considered for all weather and round the clock deliveries, especially in smaller towns and villages.

The Loadspace

The loadspace on the Vivaro adds up to a volume of 5200 litres and the load depth is 2.5m. This means that even short wheelbase models offer practicality to refrigerated van business. The hatch in the bulkhead makes for increased flexibility in product arrangement before embarking on the day’s deliveries.

The Engines

The VauxHall Vivaro is available in four engine options. The powers range from 90 to a 120PS Bi-Turbo ecoFlex. All of the engines have impressive fuel economy and are designed for low carbon emission.

The Cab

Within the Cabin, there is adequate space with plenty of storage. It is immediately visiblethat this is a practical cabin. There is a two-passenger bench and the driver’s seat was designed with comfort in mind. It is six-way adjustable as the height, armrest and lumbar can all be adjusted. Standard features in the cabin include a DAB digital radio with Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary ports, electric windows, wheel-mounted audio controls and a rake and reach adjustable steering column.  Optional extra include cruise control, air conditioning, automatic lighting and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.

Reliability and Safety

All versions of the VauxHall Vivaro feature ESP stability control with traction control, as well as roll over mitigation and load adaptive control. This ensures the driver will remain in control regardless of load weight and terrain.  There is also a driver’s airbag as standard, but, as mentioned earlier, rear parking sensors are an option and not as standard. Other options include three speed limiter, thorax, curtain airbags and a rear reversing camera.

Security of the Vauxhall Vivaro

On the security front, the Vauxhall Vivaro features deadlocks and an engine immobiliser and there is the option of a smart keyless entry system.

Here at Glacier Vehicles, we believe that the standard features in the cabin are sufficient for a refrigerated van business, but that air conditioning would have been a nice standard addition. Air conditioning is pretty much a must these days to keep drivers happy, so you should factor in this expense with the van. In general, the 2016 Vauxhall Vivaro is a worthy addition to any fleet of refrigerated vans. Add it to your shortlist and consider a test drive.
